To all citizens of

Grant County

Finke Homes, Inc. is attempting to infest your county and target the good citizens of Grant County with their corrupt and incompetent business activities.

On January 24, 2005 the Grant County Planning Commission conducted a Public Hearing on a zoning change request submitted by Finke Homes on property they bought up just outside Williamstown.  The property the Finke Homes picked up consists of the following deeds listed below.

The Dawalt property transfer

The Grant County Joint Local Industrial Development Authority property transfer

The Lanter property transfer

The Rider property transfer

Another Dawalt property transfer

Click here to view the minutes of the public hearing. Currently the request is tabled until May 23, 2005 where the planning commission is to take up the request again. I would encourage all Grant County citizens to attend this hearing and oppose the request.

Finke Homes, Inc. made numerous of promises to the Boone County Planning Commission to get the Pebble Creek Subdivision approved. They made several misrepresentations before the commission in order to get the request approved. The Boone County Planning Commission even set conditions on Finke Homes, Inc. for which they failed to satisfy.

Finke Homes, Inc's. arrogance is demonstrated by the disregard of the law regarding the environment and the Clean Water Act, while working in the Gunpowder Creek area. Click here to view the evidence.

Finke Homes, Inc. in their arrogance begin the construction of a bridge over Gunpowder Creek without a permit and substandard to the building codes. Boone County required George Finke to tear out the substandard work and comply with the building code.

There is evidence from the transcripts of the public hearing that Finke Homes, Inc. is again saying anything and doing whatever they need to do to get what they want. The citizens of Grant County need to be aware that Finke does everything for the good of Finke and not anyone else. Contrary to the statements made by Finke minions at the hearing.

Grant County citizens should be aware that Finke Homes, Inc. uses a number of aliases. The Great Development Properties, G & T Excavation, Finke Development Company, The Next Generation of Finke Homes, GDT Properties, Prospect Realty. All are corrupted by Finke infestations.

Grant County citizens lost a fight on May 23rd, when the Grant County Planning Commission voted to approve the zone change for Finke Homes, Inc. I made an appearance before the planning commission and provide them with reasons to deny the request. Here is the presentation I tried to present to the commission. Unfortunately, the planning commission did not what to hear any evidence that proves that Finke Homes, Inc. are a bunch of liars and to incompetent to do the proposed project. I tried to illustrate a pattern of Finke misrepresentations and violations of the law. But the planning commission didn't really care about the background of the applicants. The fact that the applicant is persistent violator of the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky appears to be irrelevant. The fact that Finke Homes, Inc. lies and says anything to get a zone change approved and then does whatever, Finke Homes wants in violation of the conditions set forth on them by previous planning commission is also irrelevant to Grant County authorities. Finke Homes, Inc. is an incompetent and crooked business. They lack the experience and intelligence to pull off a large development like this.

I made a gallant effort to bring Finke Homes, Inc.'s business practices to the attention of the Grant County authorities, but in the end, they would rather approve the request in total ignorance of the background of the applicant. I got the impression that they didn't want to know about Finke Homes, Inc.'s background. In Northern Kentucky we have builders like Erpenbeck, Kenneland Homes, Homes by Calkins, and then we have Finke Homes, Inc. If our government entities would take an interest in the background of these businesses, then we could maybe avoid the serious problems that citizens and consumers experience today. But, clearly those task with protecting the citizen’s interest have no interest in taking notice of the crooked and despicable business practices of the builders that do business in their jurisdiction. That's a shame (sham).
